PESIMSR was built around a single idea — that rural Rayalaseema deserved the same standard of medical education and care as any major city. Everything on campus is built to that purpose.
Clinical training happens inside a working 500+ bed teaching hospital, not a simulation — students learn alongside doctors treating actual patients from day one of clinicals.
Patients travel from bordering districts of Tamil Nadu and Karnataka as well as Andhra Pradesh — giving students an unusually wide range of clinical exposure.
Degrees are conferred through Dr. NTR University of Health Sciences, Vijayawada, with permanent recognition from the NMC and Govt. of India.
An integrated, 18-building campus houses the college, hospital, hostels and library on one contiguous, wifi-enabled site.
PESIMSR, Kuppam, established on 11th of September 2001, is the brainchild of our Founder Chairman, Dr. M.R. Doreswamy. It was his dream to put up a medical college & hospital with modern facilities to cater for the rural population.
It is the most modern medical college in the Rayalaseema Districts of Andhra Pradesh, providing education to budding doctors and state-of-the-art medical health care to the local population, and to those from bordering districts of Tamil Nadu & Karnataka.
