The College and the Hospital sit on the same sprawling campus, so a lecture on cardiology can move straight into rounds on a cardiology ward within minutes. All the General, Broad and Super Specialties have been established one after another in quick succession, bringing the hospital to its present 820-bed strength.
Outpatient departments run from 9:00 AM until the last patient is seen, with every patient registered before consultation. Casualty and emergency services run round the clock, every day of the year, with duty doctors on call across all specialties.
